I have lived in Kansas my whole life. Growing up I traveled a lot with my parents on business and family vacations. That is where I developed an interest in history and learning about other cultures. This led me to major in history in at Baker University as an undergrad with a minor in political science.
Now that I have free time I enjoy researching history and Geneology. If you need assistance with some research let me know.
Currently, I live in the Kansas City metro where I live with my wife and three dogs. In my free time I like to play video games, read, go to museums, travel and work on my family geneology. I also enjoy history, travel and photography, which will probably dominate many of my blog posts.
I graduated from Baker University’s masters program with a masters in liberal arts in 2009 with a masters in history and in social science. Baker University is a small liberal arts school in Kansas. It is located fifteen minutes south of Lawerence, Kansas. Lawerence is home to things such as Kansas University (KU) Jayhawks.
During my adult career I have worked for a number of non profits where I developed an interest in helping people. My jobs have ranged from before and after school child care, day cares, parks and recreation and mental health. Currently, I work in the mental health field. I like what I do but it can be stressful at times. Ultimately, I would like to use what I have leaned and apply it to the surrounding community to try and make a difference in people’s lives.
Feel free to contact me. I am always open to guest bloggers.

Hi Jeff. Thanks for visiting my site. When I saw Nicaragua on yours I was immediately interested in seeing what all you knew about Nicaragua. My nephew and niece in law are in the Peace Corps there. At the moment I could not tell you where but they are separated into two different towns and get together on weekends. But they’re loving it and signed up for three years. My husband, four now grown children and I, have done lots of mission work through the years with a special interest in Chimbote Peru. It’s always thrilling to see someone who wants to do something to help out their fellow man. I’ll say thanks for all the people that you help .

Love hearing about people’s experiences in liberal arts school. I currently attend a small liberal arts university in Ohio (my home state) where I study history and English. Seeing the good works and success that people who had a similar study path to mine are currently achieving gives me hope for where the education I love will take me. Thanks for the follow.
