After Overland Park teen in mental health crisis shot by police, parents push for mandatory training

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Although the lawsuit has been settled, an Overland Park couple who’s son was shot and killed by police are still pushing for change. On Jan. 20, 2018, 17-year-old John Albers was shot at 13 times by a police officer while backing out of his garage.
