Excelsior Springs, Mo

Excelsior Springs, Missouri is sleepy town.  Many of the shops are closing down in the downtown area.  Many of the shops that are still open actually have good things like antiques and artisan alcohol / local wine from various places in Missouri.  They also have a flavored pop corn shop which is very good as well as some live theatre and bars.  Most of the town is well in its way to becoming a ghost town possibly in my life time. Which would be a loss because many of these store fronts are a good way for artisans to get their product out there.

The town has a lot of vintage architecture.

With the Vantill winery so close by I hope that the town can keep going.

So visit the town before you miss out! This past weekend they did a chocolate trail where you go to different shops and try different chocolate.

  1. I was there a few months ago participating in a craft night at a craft shop in downtown Excelsior. I also want to visit the Elms sometime soon too!
