Eureka Springs, AK

A few random photos around town.  Very picturesque town.  It’s a very sleepy town.  Almost everything closes by like 5 pm and not 5:01 but 5. No joke! Everyone is very friendly. The restaurants are open after 5 but not much else after that. Many of the shops are antique and hippie artists. This area has been a popular spot for robbers of various types as they would hide out in the near by caves to hide.

The next round of pictures were taken around the area of our Tree House. It was really neet to stay somewhere different for a honeymoon. There are a number of various tree house places to stay in Eureka Springs.  It is well worth the money because you have a great view of the woods.  Since we were there they have added different kinds of themed rooms.  I added a link to the company we rented through.  They have cottages that are in town and the tree houses are just outside of town.  They give you a garage door remote to open the gate to the community.  To leave you stop at the line that is painted and the door automatically opens.  It is. Ice to have some privacy and not have a bunch of cars driving through.

The Crescent Hotel in the distance. Many claims of hauntings.  They have a very good tour of the hotel. The tour guides are very knowledgable of the history of the hotel and ghosts.  If you are lucky you might get to view the more notorious rooms of the hotel if there is not anyone renting them. Lots of activities through out the year.  Big destination for weddings. The hotel was also features on an episode of Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi channel.  The hotel has been rated the most haunted hotels in the country.  But I will not ruin the stories you will have to experience them for your self…..
