The Prairie Fire Museum in Overland Park, Ks is site to behold. It is a small natural history museum with the main attraction rotating out every few months or year at a time. It is located in part of Overland Park that is still developing in some parts but is developing nicely.
The museum was designed to look like a prairie fire hints the name.
They have three huge fossils in the front hall. One giant fish, a reptile and a T-Rex. The fish and reptile fossil were found in western Kansas and are very large.
The current attraction in the exhibit is one on dragons, unicorns and sea creatures.
The museum is fun for ages. The hole experience takes about an hour or a little more. It is very imfomative. One of the last exhibits has a touch screen where you can design your own dinosaur as my wife briefly demonstrates.
