Silver Dollar City is a well known attraction in Branson, Missouri. Much of the area is still steeped in tradition and heritage and enjoys a wide variety of shows and entertainment.
Every year around Christmas Silver Dollar City put lights up all around the city. Many if the shops that time of year start selling Christmas relates items. It is family entertainment with lots of kid friendly things to do.
There are lots of other things to do around Branson but Silver Dollar City is the best source of entertainment in the area. The lights and shows will keep you and your family busy for a long weekend, just make sure you bundle up. They have lots of places to get coffee, candy and other baked goods to help you stay warm.
They even have parades with lights. Usually they are a lot of fun and change a little every year. From what I understand last year was the last year they were going to do the parades but you never know. They could bring them back if there us enough interest. The parade was always a big draw at night and the streets were always packed. After the parade they have a light show at the main tree by the front gate that changes color during the music they play.
If you do not like putting up Christmas lights/decorations Silver Dollar City may be a good place to go for a long weekend to enjoy Christmas and the festivities. Plenty of shows and crafts to look at during your time at Silver Dollar City. If you can’t get in the Christmas spirit while there then there may be no hope for Christmas spirit.
Traffic can be a bit hectic there every time of year, especially during popular festivals. The best place to stay is at Indian Point which is just a 5 minute drive and comes from the opposite direction of the traffic. So if you want to sleep in because of the eggnog the night before Indian Point is the best place to stay.
This is incredible! Christmas lights in Australia are starting to take off, but nothing like in your photos Thanks for sharing π

ALL THE YEARS WE LIVED IN BRANSON WE AVOIDED SILVER DOLLAR CITY AT CHRISTMAS TIME- π WE LOVED THE PARADES AT BRANSON LANDING– WITH THE BRANSON STARS IN THE PARADE & LESS TRAFFIC– AND WE COULD BE HOME IN 15 MINUTES!!! π WE ALSO MUCH PREFERRED THE ADORATION PARADE IN HISTORIC DOWN TOWN BRANSON–
